The current policy for admission to primary schools adopted by Essex Education Authority is for children to start full time attendance in an infant department at the beginning of the term in which they become five years old.

Admission Arrangements for 2019-2020

Mid-Year Admissions

Parents wishing to make a mid-year application for places in Years 1-6 must apply online via Essex County Council’s website: A mid-year Application Form must be completed and submitted online. Essex County Council will make contact with the school to establish the availability of school places.
