Collective Worship
At St Francis Catholic Primary School, prayer, worship and liturgical celebrations are central to the life of our school and our Catholic nature. These allow our pupils and staff to come together to worship God.
As a school with strong Catholic foundations, we value this special time daily, when we come together to explore, discuss and reflect on our faith.
We believe that Prayer & Liturgy in our school should provide all pupils and staff with the opportunity to:
- enrich their religious experience
- grow in liturgical understanding and development
- experience a sense of belonging and develop community spirit
- participate fully
- reflect on spiritual and moral issues
- respond to and celebrate life
- contemplate something of the mystery of God.
The daily prayers give children a time to pause and reflect.
