Years 3 & 6 Class Mass
On Wednesday 23rd September, our Year 3 and Year 6 pupils celebrated Mass at The Assumption of Our Lady Church in Maldon. Fr Jerold warmly welcomed the children, staff and members of our school community to the parish.
The children participated reverently throughout the celebration, taking part in the prayers and hymns, with pupils also contributing as readers. They represented St Francis beautifully, both during Mass and as they walked to and from the church.
We were pleased to be joined by many parents, carers and grandparents, whose presence contributed to the celebration and strengthened the link between our school and parish community.
The Mass provided a valuable opportunity for our children to celebrate their faith together and reflects the central place of Catholic life and worship at St Francis.
We would like to thank Fr Jerold, Mrs Stone, our staff, families and parish community for helping to make the celebration such a special occasion.
Parent feedback:
"The children were a real credit to the school; not only did they look very smart, but their behaviour and participation during the Mass was fantastic. It was a real testament to the school that the children were so engaged in the Mass, and proof that Catholic teaching runs through the heart of St Francis."
