Black History Month 

Celebrating Black History Month

Throughout October, the children have taken part in a range of activities to celebrate Black History Month, learning about the achievements, experiences and contributions of Black individuals throughout history. Our Key Stage 2 pupils have explored the poem 'Mother of Mankind' by Banji Alexander, while our Key Stage 1 pupils have enjoyed learning through Floella Benjamin’s inspiring book 'Coming to England'. These activities have provided valuable opportunities for the children to celebrate diversity, explore important stories and reflect on the importance of equality, respect and inclusion.
